Illustrations

January

Illustration of Cheryl stabbing a painting, every so often I want to make a larger illustration of a character demonstrating the thing that makes them tick, so to speak.

February

To pair with the illustration of Cheryl I also made one for Ash.

March

I ended up turning a ghost character I made in a group draw session into a pngtuber? Looking at the low quality flickering of this gif again it feels like a stream with a gimmick of being a haunted TV. That probably wouldn't be good to look at for very long.

Utsuho Reiuji from Touhou as a kind of robot. This basically came about because of how I construct the torso when sketching and how there's a hollow section for an atom like this to go.

May

Another character-building exercise, "what kind of chao would each character have?"

Practicing drawing interesting backgrounds, since I don't like drawing an ordinary blue sky very much. Before and after getting feedback about why the clouds felt wrong.

July

Using this ghost character as a representation of myself in little blogging vignettes is pretty fun.

August

The results of artfight, less of a "manga popularity contest results" look than last year.

I really enjoy the way streamer Holly Hollowtones among others uses "the getter" as a nickname for "the killer", or some other entity who's going to Get You. Then I got into Getter Robo and this happened.

I don't do enough with Desmond so I made a small comic just to get something out there. Make a terrible comic day and all that.

This one takes a lot of explaining. I can only hope people who know about Touhou look at the popularity poll results and see what I'm getting at here.

September

Part of a Cohost ask response, the question being "*places a bucket of water above a doorway that one of your OCs might walk through*".

More "dang it i want to draw like the things i really like" practice, this one's the Gurren Lagann eyecatch artstyle.

My part of the Cohost community board. Probably one of my favorite drawings of Rio, actually.
